Having done that, these pests will die due to lack of water.
Cockroaches usually hide in drain pipes and sinks, and sometimes it can be hard to reach them. Using ammonia could be the best solution in this scenario. Mix a bucket of water with a full cup of ammonia, and pour it on toilets and sinks to clean the pipes. It contains a potent smell which destroys all the cockroaches nesting in the pipes.
This is one of the most powerful home remedies of destroying the cockroaches. The smell of coffee grounds attracts these pests out of the dark corners of your house. By adding some coffee grounds on a jar of water, place it where you usually see the roaches or against the wall. The smell of the grounds attracts the pests, and they enter the jar unable to escape and die. Ensure you repeat the process for few days to eradicate the roaches completely.
This process is not only simple but also effective. Take some petroleum jelly and line it on the edge of a jar of food and leave it overnight. The pest will climb in the jar for food, slip in and will be unable to escape.
These leaves are naturally available in any grocery stores, and also a common ingredient in kitchen recipes. They are surprisingly powerful and can get rid of cockroaches very quickly. Put a bundle of them where these pests nest are, corners or sink holes for them to feed.
